Three of our favorite breweries have released small-batch specialties in a very limited time offering:
⇒ Founders Blushing Monk Ale is a Belgian Style Ale infused with raspberries. This sweeter-style beer would be excellent paired with desserts or fresh cheeses.
⇒ Sierra Nevada Barrel-Aged Bigfoot Barleywine-style Ale is a strong, robust beer aggressively flavoured with bittersweet malt and whole-cone hops.
⇒ Deschutes Brewery Imperial Ale has notes of toasted caramel, raisins, dates, and figs complemented by a spicy and herbal hoppy finish. IBU:55

Ken & Norm’s is also very pleased to announce the addition of five, yes FIVE wines to our small yet meaningful portfolio:
Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Place of Origin: San Antonio Valley, Central Coast, California
Jason’s Tasting Notes: Though alcohol-prevalent, the tannin and acidity is very well balanced allowing good fruit flavors. The finish is a little more complex with notes of black pepper and sage. Pair with Bleu Cheese burgers or coffee-crusted roast beef.
Composition: 100% Pinot Noir
Place of Origin: Sonoma County California
Jason’s Tasting Notes: An edgy yet serious pinot noir with forward flavours of cranberry and raspberry. Hints of cocoa nib linger long on the tight finish. Though tasty with grilled salmon steaks or smoked turkey leg, this is one of those pinots that i’d enjoy all by itself.
Composition: 100% Garnacha
Place of Origin: Baronia, Montsant, Spain
Jason’s Tasting Notes: A dark ruby color with lots of earthy tones on the nose. The palate viscosity is a little light, but flavours of leather and forest floor are intense enough to carry through the modest finish.
Serving Tips: This is one of those wines that I’d recommend decanting about an hour before you intend to serve it. The exposure to air allows the fullness to mellow just enough to get some fruitiness happening.
Composition: 100% Chardonnay
Place of Origin: Clos de Condemine, Mâcon-Villages, France
Jason’s Tasting Notes: This unoaked chardonnay is generously fruity and light with flavours or ripe pear, melon, and honey. The finish is short and crisp with just enough acidity to keep it interesting. Pairs nicely with light chicken dishes or firmer white fishes.
